So what is Nowhere ?

Nowhere skatepark, was born out of a need to skate and the passion to follow it through where there were no facilities available locally. The weather in the UK is very wet and polyurethane does not work well with wet concrete/metal, the councils however continue to build outdoor parks. Thse can only be used for a few months out of every year.

This problem led to the birth of Nowhere. A private environment, where skaters could practice and enjoy what is an amazing sport to participate in. With an indoor skatepark to practice in, the local skating scene flourished throughout the late 90's and early 2000's. There are usually about 30 inline skaters in the local area, however due to personal commitments (job/college/family/etc) the average number is 4 - 8 skaters present on most filming sessions.

The one year Diary was filmed to record the progress of nowheresk8 crew members over a one year period. A blog was created and every time new videos were published online new posts were made.

Inline skating is often an excericise in mental ability such as persistance/resolve, self-confidence, the balance of calculated risk and reckless bravery. Before even discussing the nature of an extreme sport this one requires hundreds if not thousands of hours of practice, in order that the highest levels of full body coordination and balance can be acheived.

We have hundreds of videos for your amusement and commenting distraction. The videos are organised in a number of ways. You can use the Youtube channel and search through that way, or you can use the wiki, which contains a list (by order of release) There are a number of players which can be viewed embedded on pages on this site.
